Leo the Lion is back!

It was a slow news day in Lincoln yesterday. Here's the lead story in the Lincoln Journal Star's local section from Wednesday's edition:

http://journalstar.com/articles/2008/04/29/news/local/doc48179e28e63e8936413794.txt

There are about 10 comments following the online version talking about how great Leo the paper-eating lion is.

You can also listen to the story of the voice behind Leo here.

The Children's Zoo would not be the same without Leo! Thank god he's back.

Erica,

I don't know if you still get notices when someone comments on your old blog, but I wasn't sure how else to contact you. I was trying to find that podcast you linked to concerning Leo's voice and it is no longer available. You wouldn't happen to have it downloaded in your iTunes or something, would you? Or perhaps you remember a few things you could share with me about it?

I am a little obsessed with the old Paper Eaters, and have been collecting info on them for about ten years now. I have a recording of Leo's original voice, but Lincoln's Leo is unique. No one has taken as good care of their lion as Lincoln has. Any help you could send would be very appreciated!
